Jalandhar: Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi has said that he has taken off the mask of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal as the common man as Kejriwal was misleading people for a long time by pretending.
CM Channi said that when the Congress high command handed over the power in the hands of a person belonging to a poor family, Kejriwal’s mask had started coming off with him.
He said that Kejriwal was also trying to mislead the people of Punjab by saying that he was a common man when it was all a hoax. The reality was that Kejriwal is a high-profile politician and the reality can be ascertained by going to Delhi.
Revealing this during a conversation with some channels, Channi said that after coming to power in Punjab in his hands, he took all the decisions related to the general public at the government level.
He said that he first took decisions at the government level keeping in view the interests of the poor, middle class people and farmers. After these decisions, the mask of the common man started coming off Kejriwal’s face. Channi said that now there is no chance of Kejriwal’s false mask running again in future.
CM Channi said that Kejriwal has a habit that at first he loudly blames his opponents and after some time he apologizes to them.
Punjab CM Charanjit Singh Channi said that Arvind Kejriwal has apologized to Nitin Gadkari, Arun Jaitley, Akali leader Vikram Majithia in the past. Today Kejriwal has made derogatory remarks against him, do you know that after the elections are over tomorrow, he should apologize to me too.
Channi said that his government first took decisions in the interest of the poor and middle class people. He said that first of all he made electricity cheaper, waived off the outstanding electricity bills, reduced the rates of petrol and diesel, reduced the rates of water, settled the matters related to the C-farms of the traders pending.
Chief Minister said that in the same way, he took care of the interests of his employees and solved their issues by listening to them himself. He said that Rs 18 crore was pending on the electricity bills on the gaushalas, which was waived by his government. Now in future the electricity bills will not come to the gaushalas. He said that he tried to take the money of those people to the people.
Referring to the raid conducted by the ED on his relative, Channi said that the Modi government has acted out of vengeance. He questioned whether the cash was seized from his house which people like Kejriwal kept posting pictures of him with the cash on social media.
When asked whether Navjot Singh Sidhu did not openly accompany him after the raid, Channi said that every person has his own opinion. He won’t say anything on this.
Punjab CM Charanjit Singh Channi said that the chances of Congress winning in the state assembly elections are more, so there is more fighting within the Congress over party tickets.
He said that there were too many contenders for Congress tickets. In response to a question, he said that those who are angry leaders will be persuaded and they will also work for the party.
