Burhanpur: Bharat Jodo Yatra organizer, senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi today said that as the Yatra is progressing, it is getting full support from the public and in Madhya Pradesh, on the very first day itself, the Yatra has left Maharashtra behind.
Gandhi said this while addressing a public meeting at Transport Nagar in Burhanpur district. He said that we had started this Bharat Jodo Yatra about two months back in Kanyakumari and now about 2 thousand kilometers our passengers and lakhs of people have walked with us. When they were leaving Kerala, they thought that now no one can defeat Kerala, means lakhs of people left and then reached Maharashtra and Maharashtra overtook Kerala.
Rahul Gandhi said that Maharashtra lasted for 15 days and people, farmers, laborers, youth, mothers and sisters there gave so much power and I said that now no one can defeat Maharashtra. Then came to Madhya Pradesh and came to know that Madhya Pradesh defeated Maharashtra on the first day. He said that he would like to thank those who gave their strength and love to the Bharat Jodo Yatra today. He said that he wants to give ‘A’ grade to Madhya Pradesh.
He said that we had not even imagined that the people of the country, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Kerala, Telangana, Tamil Nadu would give so much power, so much love, so much support to this yatra. He said that he has walked 2000 kms, no fatigue, not a second of fatigue. Wakes up in the morning and starts walking. He said that in the journey we walk for 8 hours and listen to you. They don’t speak much, they remain silent for most of the time and keep their words in the evening.
