Ahmedabad: Petrol is being sold at Rs 94.41 per litre in Ahmedabad, Gujarat while diesel is Rs 95.03 per litre. Diesel has been increased by 30 paisa while petrol by 29 paisa per litre.
Petrol and diesel prices continue to rise amid the Corona pandemic. Today once again the oil prices have been increased by the government oil companies. Today the price of diesel has been increased by 26 to 28 paisa. While the price of petrol has been increased by 27 to 28 paisa.
The price hike was not done across the country yesterday i.e. on Monday. For the past few months, state-owned oil companies are increasing the prices of petrol and diesel every other day. Due to which the price of petrol has become costlier by Rs 7.18 and diesel by Rs 7.45 per litre.
Not only this, since May 1, the price of petrol and diesel has been increased by Rs 28. Petrol has crossed the Rs 100 mark in parts of Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh after the price increase being recorded for the past few days.
After the price increase recorded today, the price of petrol in the country’s capital Delhi has gone up to Rs 97.50 per litre and diesel to Rs 88.23 per litre.
Petrol in Mumbai costs Rs 103.63 per litre and diesel costs Rs 95.72 per litre.
After the increase recorded in Chennai today, the price of petrol is Rs 98.65 and the price of diesel is Rs 92.83 per litre.
During the assembly elections in five states, a steep rise in crude oil prices was recorded. Despite this, oil prices remained stable.
But oil prices have come under fire since the elections were over. Since May 4, the price of petrol and diesel has been increased almost every other day.
