CCI will investigate Google in India, found guilty on these charges

New Delhi: Competition Commission of India (CCI) has ordered an inquiry against Google. Google has been accused of unfairly doing business in the Android-based television market in India. This has violated the Entry Trust Act.

On Tuesday, the CCI in its order found Google guilty of the Indian Entry Trust Regulation and ordered the Director General to investigate the matter.

Let us tell you that a complaint against Google was made to the Competition Commission of India (CCI) for misuse of payment app and Android mobile operating system.

A person named Purushottam Anand alleged in May last year that companies using the Google Android TV platform have to sign a license with Google.

This license prohibits those companies from doing business with rival companies of Google. All this applies to smart TVs as well as smartphones and other devices. For now, Google has denied all allegations.
